I wish my parents could understand that when i hang out with a guy, it doesn’t mean he’s my boyfriend, school is hard and i’m trying my best, i’m a teenager so i don’t always have the best attitude, i try and make the best decisions for myself, i’m young and i want to have fun while i can, if i’m out all night it doesn’t mean i’m drinking or doing drugs. not all my friends are bad influences. i feel useless whenever they compare me to other kids. & i can’t be perfect, i make mistakes sometimes, so don’t try and keep me from doing the things i wanna do. if i screw up…fine. the way i see it, i can learn from them.

Me: Pretty good. Starving, obviously. How are you?
Cashier: Not bad. I can't wait to get off my shift and get home to my boyfriend.
Woman behind me: Wait, you're gay?
Cashier: Yeah. . . ?
